One of the elements of such communications equipment is the capacitor which separate communication equipment from high voltage frequency of 50 Hz, bypassing high frequency signals through communication channels. Based on these capacitors, power take-off devices are manufactured at a frequency of 50 Hz directly from the power line for powering the measuring equipment and power equipment as well as measuring devices (voltage dividers, voltage transformers) for measuring the line voltage.

Description

As the high-voltage power lines system extends as well as power lines length and use of automation equipment, there is a need for reliable control and administrative-economic communication between certain points, transmission of telemetry signals, emergency disconnection of circuit breakers, relay protection and other information.  Usually such a connection is provided through  high-voltage power lines at a frequency of 40-500 kHz.  One of the elements of such communications equipment is the capacitor which separate communication equipment from high voltage frequency of 50 Hz, bypassing high frequency signals through communication channels. Based on the same capacitors, power take-off devices are made at a frequency of 50 Hz directly from the power line for powering the measuring equipment and power equipment, as well as measuring devices (dividers, voltage transformers) for measuring the line voltage.

The coupling capacitors are impregnated with environmentally safe dielectric liquid that is not included in the list of the prohibited ones as per the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (2001).

PURPOSE:

  • * to ensure high-frequency communication at frequencies of 24 – 1500 kHz in the power lines with the rated voltage of 35, 110, 150, 220, 330, 500 kV AC, 50 and 60 Hz. The capacitors are made in porcelain covers and impregnated with environmentally safe liquid;
  • ** reinforced version adapted for installation of a high-quality stopper;
  • ** for connection of communications equipment to the power lines from 6 to 35 kV and lightning protection cables.

  • the first figure after the type means the rated voltage in kilovolts;
  • the second figure means the capacity in nanofarads;
  • CM – capacitor in the non-reinforced porcelain cover;
  • Б – category of electrical equipment for external insulation;
  • B – with terminal;
  • П – combined with bench insulator;
  • M – capacitors made in metal enclosures.

CMA – capacitor in the reinforced  porcelain cover;
Б – category of electrical equipment for external insulation;
B – with terminal;
P – combined with bench insulator.
1) – Depending on the version of the covers, there may be differences in the overall and mounting dimensions of the capacitors (indicated in parentheses).
The required dimensions are specified when ordering.
2) – when manufactured in a composite enclosure with silicone fins, the letter “K” is indicated in the designation of the capacitor.
