Description

Purpose:

to ensure high-frequency coupling at frequencies from 24 to 1000 kHz for capacitors 110/√3 and 166/√3 kV through the power lines with the rated voltage of 110, 220, 330, 500 kV AC, 50 and 60 Hz.

The capacitors are made in porcelain covers and impregnated with environmentally safe liquid.

They are designed to replace conventional coupling capacitors on power lines.  The explosion safety of the capacitor is provided by a specially designed and tested explosion protection unit.  As a result, the capacitors have high resistance to internal short-circuit energies and prevent explosion hazardous to the neighbouring equipment and personnel.

The explosion-proof version of the coupling capacitor is indicated by the letters “Ex” in the capacitor designation.

The coupling capacitors can be manufactured in both porcelain and composite enclosures with silicone fins (in this case, the letter “K” is indicated in the designation of the capacitor type).

The explosion-proof coupling capacitors are impregnated with environmentally safe dielectric liquid that is not included in the list of the prohibited ones as per the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (2001).

Designation of the capacitors means:
the first figure after the type means the rated voltage in kilovolts; the second figure is the capacity in nanofarads;
CMA is a capacitor in the reinforced porcelain cover;
B – with terminal;
П – combined with bench insulator;
Ex – explosion-proof version;
K – capacitors made in a composite enclosure with silicone fins.
1) – Depending on the version of the covers, there may be differences in the overall and mounting dimensions of the capacitors (indicated in parentheses).  The required dimensions are specified when ordering.
