Description

Line suspension insulators are used to insulate and fix cables (wires) on substations, power stations, transmission lines and switchgears. PS-70 insulators are usually manufactured out of tempered glass, and are the most commonly used type of similar devices among other types of glass insulators.

Structure of PS-70E suspension insulator designation:

  • P – insulator type (suspension);
  • S – insulating part material (glass);
  • S; K – device model (spherical, conical);
  • 70 – maximum mechanical load level, which can lead to the destruction of the device, kN;
  • E – insulator modernization index.
